Copyediting & Proofreading

I give writing a careful, thoughtful review to catch errors, improve clarity and ensure a polished, consistent final draft.
Project Samples:
1. Magazine Special Sections | Regional Publication
Serving as copyeditor, my role was to catch errors and inconsistencies in a series of special sections featured in an award-winning regional magazine highlighting research breakthroughs and health programs launched by a large pediatric hospital and research institution.
2. Educational Program Materials | Nonprofit
Working as part of an editing team, this three-month project involved creating clear and concise language for an international nonprofit in healthcare who needed more than 1,500 pages of educational material translated into global English. My role was to copyedit pages and check for consistency in format, style and tone, meeting rigorous weekly deadlines.
3. Informational Postcard | Nonprofit
As lead copyeditor, I reviewed a marketing postcard created by a growing nonprofit for distribution to every household in the area. Later projects included similar postcard reviews for the organization's in-house events.
Book Editing

I help authors strengthen their manuscripts while preserving their unique voice and intent. From sentence-level refinement to final proofreading, I focus on clarity, consistency, readability and publication readiness.
Project Samples:
1. Memoir/ Historical Narrative
A sole copy of an original, typed manuscript of more than 800 pages had been stored in a box for decades and needed to be converted into a fully edited digital Word file. As part of an editing team assembled by an award-winning communications firm, I helped ensure every page was accurately transferred into a digital format, using AI tools for support. I then completed a first-round copyedit while meeting weekly deadlines to keep the project moving through successive phases. After formatting and proofreading were complete, I created title pages, added page numbers, and formatted all chapters into a compiled, client-ready PDF and file.
2. Memoir Outline
Served as secondary editor for a 30-chapter book outline, copyediting and proofreading each chapter summary to improve clarity and presentation for the publisher pitch.
3. Collaborative Memoir
Contributed to multiple phases of this as-told-to book project, from compiling front-end research to copyediting and fact-checking all chapters and front and back matter.

1. Website Launch | Community Art Nonprofit
Copyedited a full website refresh for a growing community arts center. I continue to provide ongoing editorial support for the organization’s recurring newsletters and website updates.
2. E-Newsletter | Conservation Nonprofit
Provide ongoing copyediting for e-newsletters and informational materials for an organization focused on connected wildlife habitat corridors.
3. Website Refresh | Small Business
A small business owner needed stronger website content, so I performed a site-wide copyedit and drafted new section copy.
